Virechana Panchkarma Treatment — Panchakarma Therapy in Delhi
Virechana Treatment is a highly critical purgation therapy among the five core Panchakarma detoxes. It works primarily on Pitta dosha.
Pitta is responsible for critical biological functions including digestion, metabolism, body temperature, eyesight, and the immune system. Because Pitta-related disorders are aggressive, clinical Ayurveda advises treating Pitta first. This program systematically cleanses the metabolic organs.
The Three Stages of Virechana (7 to 10 Days)
Snehapana (Preparatory Oleation)
Lasts 3 to 7 days. Progressive administration of warm, medicated clarified butter (ghee) is given at dawn, starting from 30 ml up to 250 ml based on digestion, preparing the tissues for detox.
Abhyangam & Swedana (External Prep)
Done for 3 days after Snehapana. External body massage with warm oils followed by herbal steam therapy is performed to liquefy the toxins and guide them to the gut.
Virechana Day (Purgation)
The final stage. Medicated natural purgatives are administered in the morning, followed by warm water, systematically expelling the accumulated toxins and cleansing the gastrointestinal tract.
