Vaman Panchakarma Treatment
In ayurveda there are certain route of expelling toxins from the body ,when toxins comes out through mouth in the form of emesis it is called as vaman .
It is a mainstream panchkarma assigned mainly for kaphaj problems. In total we do vaman from 7 to 10 days which includes again three stages of preparatory phase snehan internally externally and then the vaman day .
Procedure :-
Patient after deepan pachana that is seeing his digestive power will be started with the snehan (internal oleation) with the herbal ghee that may start from 40 ml and can go up to 200 ml. after 3 to 5 days observing the patient he is subjected to oleation from outside which is done by means of abhyangam (ayurvedic herbal massage )
Last day, the patient is given the medicine for the vaman after the decoction of yastimadhu is given along with milk . Observe the vegas (emesis).

- Psoriasis
- Certain autoimmune disorders
- Chronic respiratory tract problems
- Elephantiasis
- Schizophrenia
